      James Baroud Evasion XXL Roof Top Tent

      The Evasion XXL roof top tent opens via a full pop-up mechanism to maximize living area inside the tent. Please note this model does not include an integrated storage tray (see Grand Raid model). 

      To maximize airflow there are entrances on both sides of the tent, and for extreme conditions, ventilation can also be assisted by the solar-powered ventilation system. Access to the tent is easily gained by using the folding ladder that comes standard with all James Baroud roof top tents and attaches to either side of the tent.

      James Baroud OEM Custom Color Upgrade

      James Baroud can now produce custom ordered colors on all hardshell roof top tents. Custom color roof top tents are made with the same high quality materials and finish as the standard white, black, and gray colors- the custom color is NOT just a wrap or a plasti-dip. This is a OEM custom color option.

      PLEASE NOTE: Custom color selection is not a paint-matching service. You must choose from one of the color options available in the RAL Classic color palette and notify us of its 4-digit RAL numeric code.

      PLEASE NOTE: Since the custom colors are made to order, there is a lead time of up to 90 days on all custom color tent orders. Please get in touch to discuss projected delivery dates and notify us of your RAL color selection.

      Additional Hard Shell Roof Top Tent Features

      Tent Fabric

      We guarantee you won't find a higher-quality, better-performing fabric on any roof top tent. All James Baroud tents utilize a proprietary aluminized polyester with acrylic coating that is 100% waterproof, breathable, UV-resistant, and solar-reflective. All windows are covered with quality insect-proof netting.

      Mattress

      One of the most important features of a roof top tent is the part you sleep on: the mattress. All James Baroud roof top tents feature a thick, moisture-resistant 3" high-density foam mattress. Mattresses have a heavy duty zippered cover for easy removal and cleaning. 

      Interior Storage

      All tents include a removable storage pocket for stowing keys, wallets, headlamps, clothing or anything else you need to quickly stash inside the tent. Hard shell tents include an additional large ceiling storage net.  

      Assisted Opening

      Patented gas strut-assisted opening makes set up incredibly fast and easy - less than 30 seconds, and nearly as quick to collapse back down. 

      Simple Mounting

      Hard shell tents are simple to install. Roof top tents feature reinforced mounting rails integrated into the lower shell/platform of the tent, and include installation brackets allowing easy direct mounting to most aftermarket roof rack systems.

      Ladder

      Entry to the tent is easily gained by using the specially-designed telescoping aluminum ladder. This unique design automatically adjusts to the height of your vehicle and prevents bending while you're in the tent.

      Durability & Extreme Weather Performance

      James Baroud employs a former Dakkar Rally driver to conduct testing on each tent. All James Baroud tents have passed a grueling durability test, and you can sleep in confidence knowing that James Baroud tents are waterproof and tested in winds up to 60 mph. For added comfort in extreme temperatures, add a Comfort Mat under your mattress (see Accessories). 

      Outer Shell

      The outer shell of all James Baroud hard shell tents (available in 3 colors) utilizes fiberglass-fortified polyester. Aerodynamic ribs on the upper shell help decrease wind noise and increase fuel economy as well as provide additional structural strength and rigidity. 

      LED Lighting

      All hard shell tents feature a bright 15-LED rechargeable flashlight. Made of tough polycarbonate with an integrated belt clip, the light may be removed from the tent and carried around camp to illuminate your way wherever you go. Includes a charge indicator LED as well as a USB charging cord. 

      Ventilation

      James Baroud hardshell tents feature a unique electric ventilation fan powered by a sealed solar panel on top of the tent shell. The ventilation fan is completely waterproof and can run on 24 hours on a single charge. Additional air vents with integrated dust filters on each side of the tent provide air circulation inside while the tent is closed.

Warranty covers manufacturer's defects and failure of the tent fabric, shell, and strut mechanism.       We prviously had an Eureka E10 vacuum and mop robot for 4 years. We had no idea what we were missing until we purchased this Narwal Freo X10 Pro. It maps very fast. It is extremely quite. The vacuum then mop with a refreshed mop head solution is much better than dragging around a robot mop pad with no way to clean it without removing and washing it. We have 3 Australian Sheppards that shed alot. This was the number one concern, whereas the prvious unit needed daily attention. Not a single hair tangle in the floating rotating brush of this unique Narwal Freo X10 Pro Robot vacuum. 4 months of no robot management is wonderful. The application was easy to use with a ton of customizable options. The AI option to recognize various floor types and throw rugs ensures a complete clean and quick simple setup. Lastly the price vs product was very reasonable. Great product! After spending many months researching, we are glad we made this investment.

      After five months, it's basically a brick

      We've had this robot for five months, and it isn't durable. It worked fine for a couple months. But now it works fine for maybe 20 minutes and then just starts spinning around or going back in forth in the same area wasting its battery. The endless troubleshooting does not help. Cleaning all the sensors, resetting the robot, remapping the house ... Nothing helps. It is only being used in about 1100 sq ft of total space, so it's just not that complicated. It's been trying (and failing) to vacuum our smallish living room for nearly five hours, after several resets/etc. Back when it did function, the vacuum is rather loud if you want it to actually pick up anything big enough to see. The vacuum and mop are both terrible at inner corners, and the intersection between rugs and hardwood flooring is a total miss. There's like a 12" strip along all rugs where mopping never occurs. Definitely not a machine to be used without supplemental sweeping and mopping. The machine insists on starting rugs at the corner, so it pulls up even pretty heavy rugs sometimes. It's sucks up items like socks instead of avoiding them. Also, the machine has never successfully left alone no-vacuum rugs or no-go areas, so some rooms (like with high pile rugs or Christmas tree stands) just don't work without physical barricades. Really, really makes me miss the old reliable roombas...

By far, this is my favorite robot vacuum and I’ve tried many as I do not like to go around the house mopping and vacuuming. 10/10 would recommend this model - worth the investment. Overall I could not be happier with this purchase, my home is the cleanest it has been since I’ve first moved in.
